Of Crufts Standards. Well, almost...

Hello folks!

Here, we've been having torrential rain, thunder and lightning and all the lovely stuff you picture when you think "Scottish weather".

But when it's nice, I can get out and do agility! Woof!

Which is a good thing beeeecaaauuuse...

...I've got a tunnel!

Don't you just think it's of Cruft's Standards? Woof!

So, now I can make a little agility course! Hooray!

Woof, so when we put them all together I was managing that as well!

Well, most of the time...

Don't worry, I didn't hurt myself, I made a graceful roll out of the fall. It was actually quite fun! Woof!

Oh, and here's another blooper...

Eve and Grace are off to Paris (wee wee oui oui), which sadly means I can't blog for at least another week!

Eve has typed this up for me, but because she has to pack and everything, she says she has no time for comments!

I mean, what sort of excuse is that? Surely she could just cancel going to Paris so she can help me type comments on everybody's blogs?! (bEcose mI pAws arr tou fumblyyy)

So, we really apologise, but sadly we cannot leave some woofs on your blogs today!

But I promise, next week when she's back, I'll blackmail her into doing it ask politely for her to help me out.

And even after all this, I was kissing her and cuddling her as she left my house. Woof!

Keeping Cool in Summer!

Hello folks, I'm back again, quite earlier than usual, with some extra special advice for you.
Pay attention...

So, you've been out all day in the blazing sun...

Running up hills...

And jumping around after your ball?

Woof!

By now, you're probably all hot and bothered, aren't you?
You need to cool down, of course!
Here's how...


Step One: Find yourself a suitable fountain, ideally with water. Green water is also acceptable.

Aha, this one will do!

What d'you think Suzie?

Step Two: (only applies to shelties named Pippa) To everyone's bewilderment, completely forget about your fear of water in a split second.

Step Three: Seize the moment, live life on the edge, and launch yourself into that fountain!

(sadly, no photographs are available to accompany this step, but you get the point, don't you?)

Step Four: Allow your humans to hoist you out of the water, when they think you're drowning.

Step Five: Emerge heroically from the (not so) depths of the fountain, dripping wet but grinning and bearing.

Step Six: Dry off on any available, un-willing humans.

Hooray! Woof!

A Scottish overload!

Hello folks,

It has just occurred to me that my last last two posts have been much more Scottishy than usual!

I hope I'm not boring you with all of this stuff, but I thought it would be nice to let you all see a bit more to my area.

And anyway, lots of you doggie breeds originated on this rainy little part of the UK, so I thought "woof, why not?"

Today, we're going into Old Aberdeen, the really old part of the city!

Are you excited?

Let's go...

Woof woof! The Scottishy tour continues!

Kings College Chapel

This is the Crown Tower at Kings College Chapel. King's College is about 518 years old and part of the University Campus.

Can you tell they don't trust me to sit on a wall by myself where there are people floating around? Woof!

St Machar

Here's St Machar's Cathedral!

The building is more than 800 years old, but the site was used as a Celtic place of worship in about 580 AD. It was restored from a Norman style cathedral to a kirk in the 13th Century.

The ceiling is covered in noble looking coats of arms too, woof!

There are rumours that William Wallace's left arm is stuck inside one of the walls here, because parts of his body were sent around Scotland when he was killed! Woof!

This garden here is full of bonnie flowers...

Like these ones, planted in the shape of the Saltire flag!

Here we are on the River Don, and you'll never guess what I've just seen!!!

A Heron! Woof!

We crossed the Brig o' Balgownie into this little part of the town.
Isn't this wee housie pretty?

Woof, I can't be trusted standing in the middle of roads
 without my slave either, but looked at the nice houses!

We walked towards the Bridge of Don by the river.
Can you see what's under the bridge?

Woof, it's the beach!
(How do we always end up here...)

There were lots and lots of dolphins right in front of us today, though!

They were jumping and splashing around in the water!

Eve couldn't manage to take a photo of them (she managed to take a photograph of the sky), so here's one taken by the University people at the beach last Tuesday.

Woof, it is I, Pippa, with the Gordon Highlanders!

To top it all off, we passed the statue of the Gordon Highlanders and remembered to take a photograph this time.

How truly Scottishy!

A brief peep of the Cairngorms

(Sorry everyone, this was supposed to go up on Sunday, but I was watching Wimbledon. Well done Andy Murray!)

Hello folks!

On Monday, it was my 2nd birthday!

I got a squeaky "pawbon" biscuit toy and a squeaky "poochy cream" toy,
a new dog ball and two cards!

But all I was really interested in playing with was my old ball! Woof!

The weather's been mostly really nice here, so on Saturday, Eve and Grace and their parent people came and dognapped me again.

They shoved me into the dreaded box, and off we went...

Apart from when I was sick and when I piddled, it was quite a peaceful journey. I was a very good girl and lay down the whole way!

Here we are in Glen Esk, and the sun is shining!

This is the Glen Esk retreat, a nice place with a shop and cafe.

And there's an old folk museum. Woof!

Whilst THEY sat and had scones and stuff...

I took my ball for a wee walk. Woof!

There was a man playing guitar, a lady playing the fiddle and two little
girlies dancing.

The museum was interesting...

Everything in it was old farmers stuff that had been found in the Glen!

Woof woof! We could draw on the walls too!

It was lovely and sunny! Woof!

In the car we jumped, and headed off further into Glen Esk...

On the way, we passed a rock with the Cairngorms logo-ish thing on it. I was like "Woof woof, we are in the cairngorms!"
I never ever thought I would make it this far in the car!

We walked along a path by the river...

We passed Invermark Castle as well...

And there were sheep, which I wasn't allowed to herd!
I mean, I'm a sheepdog aren't I?!

Then we got to Loch Lee.

Woof, it's so nice here!

We had to go home though, because it would take us an hour to get back
and we needed our tea.

On the way back, horsies came to speak to us, but I
did not speak to them. Woof!

I fairly enjoyed my short visit into a wee bit of the Cairngorms.

Maybe, I can come back one day!
