I've been having some fun though,

| Being scared of new sheltie friends, |

| Pretending to look happy, |

| Taking nice photos... |
And it's really upsetting me. Whine.
However,
The other week,
Hmm, maybe the other fortnight ago,
Okay, maybe the other month,
I had a wee trippie to the vet, for a wee check up, as you do.
So, the time has come for me to have some operation which will stop me bleeding once a year!
Hoorah!
BUT, they have to put me under Anna-the-tic.
Now, why must they have me under Anna-the-tic? I know what tics are, they're horrible little beasties that live in the hills and give you Lyme's disease.
And I don't want Lyme's disease!
So, I'm quite anxious about this.
Obviously, Anna's a girl, so I'm hoping she's going to be nice to me, but what if she's not your average tiny little insect, what if she's some great monster of a thing?
Also, I'm quite nervous about going into a theatre.
I walk past His Majesty's every single day, but I've never been in.
What if this Opera's really noisy?
And obviously, if I'm underneath Anna-the-tic, it could be a bit too cosy.
Plus, it won't be a quickie, after the operation, they have to take out four in-grown eyelashes with a laser!
This isn't that bad, because it means I won't be crying all the time, but I've seen lasers in films and they look nasty.
Remember when James Bond was nearly sliced up the middle by a laser, but he somehow escaped?
Well, what if the worse comes to the worst and I have to do that too? And it won't be easy with that tic on top of me.
Then, after all that trouble, they're sticking a cone around my head.
And the operation is 2 weeks before Christmas, so it'll be a coney Christmas for me.
At least I can put tinsel around it though.

See, you don't need the Internet to have fun. Don't worry, I'm sure the surgery will go off without a hitch. And you're getting multiple things done, so you only have to do it once.

We have all had surgery and did fine, but it is rather scary to us and to our parents. we will be keeping you pippa in our thoughts and prayers...hugs a bunch!

Pippa you are a funny girl!! You made us cackle. Girlfriend I'm here to tell the gardenetomy is a breeze at least it was for me. I know you will be just fine well minus that cone thingie. I hope you can get to your foodables with it on.

ReplyDeleteOh Pippa I have missed you - but all that nose-licking? Coming out in sympathy with myself it seems, who has had the grottiest snottiest cold all week. Wish I had a long swishy tongue to keep it clean!!!
Not a fan of anna-the-tic myself. But sometimes we just have to accept small bads in order to get over bigger bads. I'm sure it will all be fine and honestly, that yearly thing? You'll be sooooo glad you don't have to face that again! Keep strong you gorgeous girl. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Oh Pippa, I have had that operation. I am sure your vets will look after you and you will be spoiled rotton when you get home, 'cos your fokes will have been worried, and glad to have you home safe and sound. Never had a cone though, but sure it will be ok. I will keep my paws crossed for you. Lady Vicki xx

ReplyDeleteYes I have been under miss Anna several times and you have nothing to worry about my friend. and I am even betting you will be Cone Free for Christmas eve. I did not need a cone since I left my privates alone, so just don't lick to much and you will do just fine.
Yes, Pippa, we've all had our 'career girl' operations. It is scary and you won't feel too good afterwards. But the humans feel very sorry for you and give you cuddles. THEN, you get them back when they are supposed to keep you QUIET! We nearly gave HER a heart attack with our jumping and stuff...BOL!

We never had to wear the cone of shame.....give it to Anna.
Yes, me and Stanley did when we were 4 months old. But we don't remember a thing! We did NOT have to wear a cone of shame cuz they did not use stitches, they used glue and it did not itch. But we heard for girls it is more than for boys. Also, mom saw a new kind of cone of shame in the store. We had a friend use it and she liked it. You just blow it up a bit. It is more comfortable and your mom can control the inflation so it is easier to wear. Do you have that at your stores?

I've been under Ana for a couple of times. After first I met Ana I did one huge poo-poo, then next time, I started to become very ill. The last time which was a few years ago, it made me really ill. Silky hasn't met Ana yet but I think she will be fine and you don't have to worry at all because my little tummy is extra-sensitive. And don't worry about the cone because I'm very pretty in those and I'm sure you are, too. Love Coco

You'll do fine, Pippa. Keltic and Beckett have both met Anna and they did just fine. The cone isn't too bad. I didn't make my boys wear it when I could watch them.
ReplyDeleteWe've had several dogs have to go to the theater to meet Anna before. It is a little worrisome - but they all came out just fine! Maybe Santa will fill your cone up with prezzies and it won't be that bad??

Those flowers in the first picture look so cheerful. Oh the anna-the-tic thing I did that when I had my boy surgery. Yep I went to sleep with them nuts and I woke up without them. Funny how the anna-the-tic takes things away. Though I don't think it is a nice Christmas present.
