A pre-birthday adventure

Hello folks!

It is I, Pippa, the brave and almighty!

So brave, I can go into my box in the car, without looking the slightest bit terrified!

I'm not scared. Whine.
So brave, I can travel half an hour in the car, without crying myself into a trauma! Ehem, maybe.

So brave, I can conquer Everest! Or, maybe just Scolty...

I'm just too good for Everest, you see.
So brave, that when I met my westie friend Fyvie going up the hill, I was not in the least bit scared!

Who even are you?
Oh, hold on...
Haha, it's my old chum Fyvie! Woof!
No no, this isn't my nervous face. Not at all.
So brave, I can run through the grass at the speed of light!

CHAAAAARGE!!
So brave, everyone admires me.

I know, I'm simply great.
So brave, I can claim the tower at the top of Scolty!

You there, leave this tower, it's mine now!
So brave, I am untouchable by the wind!

But still touchable by man.
So brave, I can rule the world,

You are at my mercy now!
And bite off some annoying midges! (you can't see them here, but they were there, alright!)

Be gone, nasty insects!
But, when faced with a certain bouncing wee doggie called Bertie...

Oh my dog.
I'm really, really not so brave.

Erm, hello.
Eve, you can put me down now.
Yes, I met Bertie on my travels!

I think he was a little overly bouncy today though, and I was just a little scared.

OK, OK, I was very scared.

But, Bertie is so lovely, he was only trying to be social, and I was being a bit rude.

Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to speak to Gail, because I was too busy trying to escape from Bertie   pull myself out of my harness   speak to the other humans to get away from Bertie   hide in the grass do something. I don't even know what.

I did enjoy meeting them both though, it was great!
We left to go our different ways, and I was a little more quiet.

Just back to my usual scaredy cat self. Woof!
Well, that was eventful.
Really, I'm not a brave dog at all.

But, I do consider managing not to be sick on a car journey brave!

Woof woof!
Thank you all for coming today!
I would like to know what YOU think is "being brave"!

Bye for now,
Pippa :) wuf wuf

A cheeky wee post from Eve

Hi folks!

My name's Eve, I'm Pip's assistant.

This is just a cheeky wee post to let you all know that Pippa is alive and well!
She doesn't know I'm blogging today; I haven't told her that, because I have another little message for you all...

On Monday (the first of July) it'll be Pippa's 2nd Birthday!!
I know, exciting!

I've got her a couple of small toys, and I think I'll get her a carrot or something!

And just to keep you all happy, here are some pictures of our latest adventures, at Duthie Park and the beach...

7.30 am one morning at the beach!

"Woof, I'm going to unicycle today!"

"I'll just pull you along Eve."

"We're going along the Old Railway Line...
"...to Duthie Park!"
"Eve's brought her rucksack..."
"Aha, I've got something..."
"Woof woof, a tennis ball!"
"Clouds won't darken my day!"
"That wee boat looks like it's putting up a losing battle with the wind."
This is one of Pippa's only doggy friends, Alfie.
Unfortunately, Alfie has to stay at home all day while his peeps are away.
He hardly ever gets outside!
He howls at the window at people,
and Pippa usually jumps up at the window and whines back!
Thank you for coming today to visit us again,
See you on Monday!

Eve :)

P.S. Sorry, I've turned off the comments because Pippa can't comment back to you all today! Sorry! :(

Yet another beachy post!

Hello folks!
That's right, as the title suggests, today I had another trip to the rather lovely beach. We have been having some glorious sunshine for the past couple of days! Woof!

(This past week though, Eve had a freezing cold school trip to Loch Insh, and they did canoeing in the snow on Thursday. At least she got to come home to some warmish weather!)

They cycled to see me last night. Yesterday, there were no clouds at all!
Oh dear. This is so embarrassing.
They came and took me to the beach this morning, woof!
I had a lovely time zooming about...
But it was a bit too hot. 18 degrees Celsius actually, woof!
(that's probably really cold to some sun worshippers)
So Grace and Eve enticed me into the sea. Woof!
I was a bit reluctant and unsure, so they just took me to a shallow bit, where there were rocks to stand on.

"This water stuff is cold, can we go back Eve?"
In that picture, the water was about up to my doggy knees, but I cheated and stood on the rocks. Woof!

I got a wee bitty wet...
And there were some clouds coming over.
The sun stayed out though!
Woof!
I befriended a dog smaller than me, because I am a coward around big ones!
And waited patiently while they dried their feet...
And then my folks came to see me at the beach!
For those of you who don't know:
Eve and Grace are my owner's granddaughters, not my owners, woof!
Eve helps out with the blogging.
My owners are both in their eighties.
They are old, woof!

They drove back home in the car, and I had to walk back with Grace, Eve and their parent people.

We walked around the back of Pets at Home, and there were some wild bunny rabbits!

Play with me, woof!
Why are you running away?!
Eve said maybe they are just rabbits the pet shop couldn't sell, so they let them free!
Then I reminded her you get a lot of rabbits in Aberdeen.

What sort of wild animals do you have in your area? And how hot was it where you were today?

The clouds are coming over now, so I'll say bye bye.
Thanks for visiting,
Pippa :) wuf wuf

Is this Scotland?

Hello folks!
This happened yesterday...
And so did this.
You may be thinking "well, what's wrong with that?"
See if you can guess...

It's the weather! Woof!

Surely this cannot be Scotland I am in, for there's blue sky and sun!
The temperature has been reasonably hot too!
What has happened to the dull, dreich weather of the north-east?

Not that I'm complaining!! Woof! Look what I did!

Woof, that's right. I went to the beach this morning!
I did not see any of the usual dolphins. Whine.

But the sun was out!!
I mean, look at the sky! Not Grace's elbow. Woof!
This is very fine!
Is this Scotland?
Woof! It is!
Then I got the zoomies...
And I ran into the sea!!
I got the fright of my life...

And avoided it whenever I could.
It kept reaching out to me though, woof!
Sun, sun, sun!
There was a bit where the tide was in...
So we walked along the beach front for a bit. Woof.
The sun stayed out all the way!
And there were absolutely zilch clouds!
After a quick stomp through Fittie...
I went into Pets at Home.
I mean, you can't just walk past it, can you?
Woof!
I had a lovely time sniffing stuff...
And scaring the rabbits.
(There were no crazy hamsters this time!)
When I got home, my al' folks were like "Pip, yi 've been awa' fir an afa lang time! Far've ye bin?"

And I was like "Woof!"

What's the weather like where you are? And what've you been up to?

Bye for now,
Pippa :) wuf wuf
