Sea-sausages

Ahoy landpuppers, it is I Pippa, back from the bottom of the sea!

Woof ahoy!
Hmm, it's been quite a while, so let me update you on the latest from the life of Cap'n Pip.

I turned 3, and someone forgot to blog about it...
Instead I got a creepy card, a bed, and some fun toys.
And I've been sailing around the North Sea...
(pic by Eve from a plane)
Trying to catch dolphins!

Woof, a big sea-sausage! (This is Archie, at Victoria Park)
This is just one of 50 fibreglass dolphins placed around Aberdeen this summer.

They all have different names and different styles, and have been organised by Wild in Art, the ARCHIE foundation and WDC.
At the end of the 10 weeks they're around town, they will be auctioned away, to raise money for various charities. To find out more, click here.

My mission this summer is to spot all 50 of them, with the help of my chums.

These are only a few of the ones we've found so far...

Trees a Crowd, at Westburn Park.
Funky D, at Johnstone Gardens.
Poppy, the WW1 dolphin, at the Gordon Highlanders Museum.
And there's plenty more for me to run around and see!
Quick, to the next one, woof!
However, if you want to see the real dolphins, the place to be is at the harbour, where they flip and flop over the waves.
The sea-sausages are here!
Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures of them, but I can assure you, there are billions of them... nearly!

Thanks for popping past today!

Cheerio,
Pippa :) wuf wuf

P.S. Our internet can still be a bit temperamental, so commenting could be slow.

OMD OMD OMD how pawsome to have you back in Blogville Pippa-pup!!! Surely Eve has been furry furry busy with words and figures and stuffs so I guess we just have to be patient with her! Yes, I am slowly getting my roots to grow in Dunoon (which is not difficult because there is plenty of Lord's Watering-can going on here...) and have even had visitors from cross country and overseas as well as starting to travel a bit myself.

Seeing these incredibubble dolpharts makes me hungry to make a visit to Aberdeen but looking at that link you gave I might have to get skating!!!

A belated HAPPY BIRFDAY to you as well, dear doglet. Here's to a great summer. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  3. Oh I would love to see dolphins for real, but sadly I am land locked. My city has 90 painted pigs. I think I like Aberdeen's dolphins better. It is good to see you again Pippa.
Thanks for stopping by my blog

  19. Happy Birthday Pippa - hope you had a fun day! Those dolphins are pawsome. My peeps tried to see real dolphins when they visited Scotland but they didn't get to see any. Maybe the coloured ones would be easier to spot BOL - woofs and licks from Magic xx

  20. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Pippa! I hope you got lots of yummy treats and many balls. Granny and I loved Aberdeen's Dolphin Parade. Thanks for sending photos. Here in Texas we had a Cow Parade in San Antonio and Colorado had a Mustang Parade in Denver. Please find all the dolphins and post pics.
